Missouri Minimum Wage Policy

You are entitled to be paid at least a minimum wage of $13.75 per hour. If you are a tipped employee, you are entitled to be paid at least $6.875 per hour, plus any amount necessary to bring total compensation to a minimum of $13.75 per hour.

Vacation, Sick, and Safe Leaves

Missouri Sick Leave Policy

You are entitled to earn one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. Starting on your first day of employment with Employer, you may use accrued paid sick time for your own or a family member’s health needs, including preventive care, diagnosis, or treatment, or for matters related to domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking.

Leaves of Absence

Missouri Jury Duty Leave Policy

Employer is required to provide you with unpaid time off to serve jury duty.

Missouri Voting Leave Policy

Employer provides up to three hours of paid time off to vote in any public election. Employer may specify when the leave is taken, but it will not be granted if the employee already has three consecutive non-working hours while the polls are open.

Missouri Volunteer Emergency Responder Leave Policy

Employer provides unpaid leave to employees who serve as volunteer emergency responders in response to an emergency.

Missouri Domestic Violence Leave Policy

Employer must give one week of unpaid leave if it has at least 20 employees, or two weeks if it has at least 50 employees, for employees who are victims of domestic violence or sexual abuse, or if their family members are victims. Employees must give at least 48 hours’ notice, unless not possible, and provide certification within a reasonable time. If notice isn’t given in advance, Employer cannot retaliate against the employee.
